Alpine Court Friends

We had some really great friends at Alpine Court. My boys aren't the calmest kids on the planet but our neighbors were most welcoming and so good to my kids. The first night we were there we were doorbell ditched. On the porch was sidewalk chalk, coloring books, bubbles and the infamous water guns. My boys were sooooo excited and really got good mileage out of everything. Especially the guns. Which I don't buy for my kids. And no one else in the complex will ever buy again. But hey, it was summer and who doesn't love an impromptu water fight at any and all times of day.
My apologies to any of you who don't fall in that category.

Patriotic snack. We used this bench/picnic tables a lot!

The boys wanted to play baseball ALL the time. The girls were good sports and threw tons of pitches, not to mention the water fights.

Peter had to bat away from the windows.

We had a snow cone party one Sunday afternoon. As the neighbors were coming home from church they stopped by for some treats. We met nearly everybody and shaved 5+ pounds of ice over 3 hours.
The Snow Cone Shop

Katie, Paige and Amber.

See those pretty flowers. The ones in the boxes died 3 times while we were there. The baskets however, were gorgeous unless you ran into them.

This was last year. They used so much chalk on that little stretch of sidewalk. This girl and her roommates were always drawing with them. This is a whole city of sky scrapers, the whole sidewalk long. We frequently had tower cranes, bulldozers, flags and of course, trains.

Silly Hammy and Sara. He wouldn't smile but there's nothing like a good friend to make you laugh.

"Riding" Sara's Motorcycle. They would check out the door every morning and if the bike was there, ask if they could go play. Sometimes they snuck in their place without asking.

Always time for funny faces.

Thanks for all the good times. You really made our summer special.
We miss you lots. Come see us soon.
